Castro Street Fair 2014

October 5, 2014
11:00am - 6:00pm
Castro Street Fair

The AIDS Legal Referral Panel is proud to once again be a beneficiary of this year’s Castro Street Fair on Sunday, October 5.

This is one of ALRP’s favorite summer events and we would love to have you join us at the fair gates as we collect donations and spread the word about Castro Street Fair’s amazing work.  Every year Castro Street Fair donates thousands of dollars to San Francisco-based organizations that serve and support our city’s LGBTQ community.

Castro Street Fair takes place on Castro Street between 16th and 19th Street from 11am-6pm on Sunday, October 5, 2014.  Click here to download the fair map.

Castro Street Fair is a family friendly event so feel free to bring along the whole gang.  All volunteers age 14+ must register with Volunteer Coordinator Alex Taylor before the day of the fair.

ALRP is working two Gate shifts.  Please consider signing up for one or both:

 10:00am – 2:00pm

1:30pm – 5:30pm

The Fair is located in the heart of San Francisco’s Castro District, at the intersection of Market & Castro Streets and the surrounding area.

The Castro Street Fair is a community street celebration that was founded by Harvey Milk in 1974. Hundreds of local artists, vendors, craftspeople, and organizations line the streets and celebrate the diversity of the neighborhood. Stages with live entertainment and dance stages can be found throughout the fairgrounds.  Entertainers this year include Peaches and The Monster Show.

The Fair is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and all proceeds go directly to charitable causes important to the Castro community. Additionally, the Fair funds the rainbow flag that flies over the intersection of Castro and Market.
