Sky Karp (he/they), a 3L and Justice Scholar at Berkeley Law, is passionate about expanding access to holistic criminal, family, and civil defense legal services. At Berkeley, Sky has led the pro-bono Family Defense Project and served on the editorial board of the Berkeley Journal of Gender, Law, and Justice. They also are serving as Transgender Chair of Berkeley Law’s Queer Caucus. Sky says that as a scholar of queer history, they are thrilled to be contributing to ALRP – “a historic and essential organization” – and supporting clients living with HIV/AIDS.
