    This class provides an introduction to the practical application of mindfulness, which is a proven way to reduce stress, enhance cognitive function, and improve performance under pressure.  You’ll learn the symptoms of chronic stress that can lead to burnout and why it’s correlated with substance abuse.  And you’ll learn practical skills that actively supporting your long-term cognitive function.  Many attorneys struggle over time with stress and anxiety — leading to patterns that undermine your ability to think clearly. Mindfulness can support your career success over the long haul, by changing patterns and behaviors that lead to stress, burnout, mental and emotional fatigue, and substance abuse.
