This training will examine the intersection of an HIV+ diagnosis with various aspects of asylum law including:

  • The elements of an asylum claim that are implicated by an HIV+ diagnosis
  • Special considerations for competent representation of HIV+ clients
  • A discussion of the one-year filing deadline

This training assumes an existing knowledge of asylum law basics.
