Safe, accessible housing is a fundamental need for people living with disabilities, yet it is disproportionately out of reach for those most in need. This training will cover Federal and local California fair housing protections for disabled tenants.

Through the lens of eviction prevention and unlawful detainer defense, this training will cover:

  • Reasonable accommodations and modifications
  • Who is covered by fair housing law, and which housing providers must comply
  • Types of housing discrimination
  • How these laws can be used to expand access to housing for people with disabilities and reduce the negative impacts of housing instability
