Spring Major Donor Reception, Honoring Laura Maechtlen, Esq.

Thank you to the many friends and supporters who took the time to join the AIDS Legal Referral Panel at FABLE Restaurant on Wednesday May 25 – for our major donor party and ALRP’s inaugural return to gathering in person. We were delighted you could join us to raise a glass and enjoy great food and excellent company.

It was a genuine pleasure to confer the James C. Hormel Philanthropy Award to Laura Maechtlen, Partner at Seyfarth Shaw for her boundless generosity and loyal support of our work in the community.

Now, well into her second decade of involvement with ALRP, Laura Maechtlen, Esq. has been an active supporter in just about every way possible: as a pro bono contact for her firm, ALRP Board member and Board Secretary, as a generous Donor, and Volunteer Panel Attorney. We feel so fortunate to have Laura in our midst and benefit from her thoughtful expertise and generosity of spirit.

Laura shares, “I’m so honored to receive this award from ALRP. The work that is done every day by ALRP is so important and impactful, and has informed so much of my community service and Board involvement on many levels – thank you to the organization for their almost 40 years of work on behalf of the Bay Area community”

We also heard about some recent client success stories and met some of ALRP’s Staff Attorneys who make that work possible: Jaime Rush, Ana Montano, Jeff Dulgar, Lynnette Baclig and Stephen Spano.
