ALRP Receives BALIF Award

ALRP is proud to have received BALIF’s Legal Service Award in our 30th year. Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF) is the nation’s oldest and largest bar association of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, and transgender persons in the field of law. ALRP’s longtime relationship with BALIF goes back to our founding in 1983 by a handful of BALIF members, including Carl Wolf and Fred Hertz.

BALIF’s Legal Service Award recognizes the outstanding achievements of lawyers and organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to LGBT equality and that have significantly advanced those causes through their work in the law.

During the past 30 years, ALRP has represented pro bono clients in over 65,000 legal matters and currently has over 700 lawyers on the referral Panel.
