ALRP Emergency Asylum Clinics
January 7, 2025
This past Saturday, seasoned immigration attorneys met with HIV+ and LGBT undocumented individuals in ALRP’s offices to gauge if they should file an asylum application now, before January 20, when the incoming anti-immigrant administration will changes all the rules. The good news is that 80% of those individuals had very strong cases and are now being matched with a pro bono attorney to move forward and gain protection from deportation!
Because we know there are many more people who still need our help, we are hosting a second clinic this coming Saturday, January 11.
Help us by putting out the word out to everyone you know! (Whether we realize it or not, we all interact with undocumented people every day of the year.) Just say, “In case you or your friends know anyone who might be HIV+ or LGBT and undocumented, let them know they can schedule a free legal consultation to discuss their options by filling out this form.”
Together, we can fight back and protect those who are most vulnerable to hate-based, racist, and cruel policies.
