MCLE Training: Technology & Domestic Violence

ALRP is pleased to promote the Queen’s Bench’s MCLE training, “Views From the Bench on the Use of Technology in Acts of Domestic Violence and as Evidence,” on October 16.

Panelists:

  • Judge Monica F. Wiley: San Francisco Superior Court, Family Court Lawyer. Judge Monica F. Wiley was appointed to the San Francisco Superior Court bench on September 1, 2009. She is the second African American female judge appointed by a California governor to the San Francisco Superior Court bench. Prior to her appointment, Judge Wiley represented individual and corporate defendants in litigation related to catastrophic personal injuries and bad faith insurance claims and served for more than 10 years as a Deputy City Attorney in the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office.
  • Judge Patrick J. Mahoney: San Francisco Superior Court, Supervising Judge, Family, Delinquency, Dependency Courts. Judge Patrick J. Mahoney was appointed to the San Francisco Superior Court in March of 2000 and is the supervising judge of the Unified Family Court. Previously, he served as a trial judge in the civil division and the law and motion department, as the presiding judge of the juvenile division and in the criminal division. He is currently a lecturer on leadership principles for the Administrative Office of the Courts and completed a three- year term on the Judicial Council of the California Juvenile Justice Education Committee.
  • Judge Susan Breall: Francisco Superior Court, Criminal Division, Domestic Violence. Prior to becoming a Judge in 2001, Judge Susan Breall was Chief of the Criminal Division of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. She has tried a wide range of criminal cases and conducted numerous trainings on crimes of violence against women. She was sent to Bosnia after the Bosnian War to train the Federation of Bosnian Judges on issues of domestic violence and sexual assault.
