  • Overview: Part of ALRP’s new Immigration Training Series. Because all of our clients are living with HIV/AIDS and many are LGBT, we are frequently approached by people who have suffered abuse and intolerance in their countries of origin who are seeking protection in the United States. This training will provide an overview of Immigration Court procedures, including discussion of the most common procedural rules and practices. Learn what happens at a Master Calendar hearing, how to file applications for relief and supporting documents, how to prepare for the Individual Hearing on the merits, and how to present a case at the Individual Hearing.
