Immigration Law: Dream Act and Deferred Action Primer

Overview: Learn the ins and outs of Dream Act (pending legislation) and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy which is now being implemented by the Obama Administration. Alexander H. Lubarsky, LL.M., Esq. will explain the state of Dream Act legislation and perform a “walk through” of a DACA client interview and forms processing. DACA is a very new and powerful change in immigration law policy resulting in undocumented people thirty and under being able to obtain lawful status. This workshop will take the practitioner through the DACA application process from beginning to end.

Who Can Attend?
All active ALRP Panel Attorneys and associates at partner pro bono law firms are welcome to attend any of ALRP’s free MCLE trainings. Attorneys who are not currently members of the Panel are requested to join our Panel and accept two ALRP referrals in the next year. Due to space limitations, attorneys who have not yet joined our Panel may only attend one free training per series. After joining the Panel, attorneys may attend as many trainings as they like.
