This program will discuss privacy rights and their ongoing erosion, providing a primer on the impact of HIV/AIDS stigma; a summary of federal and state constitutional principles and common law protections in a Clarence Thomas world; an overview of HIV and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); and a review of rights and remedies, including the risks and benefits of settlement strategies and litigation procedures.
