People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHIVA) face unique vulnerabilities even as the virus has become manageable as a chronic illness. This MCLE will provide attendees with:
- A historical understanding of the particular trauma associated with this multiply marginalized community,
- Culturally appropriate and trauma informed language to help obtain sensitive information during an intake process,
- A nonjudgmental space to ask questions of a person with lived experience, and
- Valuable resources available specifically for PLWHIVA.
Questions? Contact Claire Clayton, Pro Bono & Development Manager, at clairec@alrp.org or (415) 701-1200 x321.
The State Bar of California has certified ALRP, Provider #2485, to provide MCLE credit for this training.
