Restraining orders often accompany other legal issues, and attorneys may need to understand how to obtain or defend a restraining order to ensure their client doesn’t miss deadlines or violate the order.
This training will review civil harassment restraining orders. Topics include: an overview of the different types of civil restraining orders, including who can and should file for one; Civil Harassment Restraining Order proceedings; common mistakes when petitioning for a Civil Harassment Restraining Order; and best practices and considerations for clients.
