Castro Street Fair Volunteers Needed

October 6, 2013
11:00am - 6:00pm
Castro & Market Streets in San Francisco

Help ALRP collect donations at the gates of this fun arts & crafts fair.

Castro St Fair

Please join the ALRP staff in collecting donations at the Castro Street Fair on Sunday, October 6! This fun community celebration is turning 40 this year.

ALRP is a proud beneficiary of the fair, so more volunteers + more hours donated = a higher portion of proceeds for ALRP! Feel free to invite family and friends to volunteer with you. Please help ALRP raise money for our low-cost legal services for people living with HIV/AIDS. Plus, all volunteers receive a FREE gift bag from Whole Foods!

Check out photos from the 2012 Castro Street Fair and 2011 Castro Street Fair. Thanks for your help!

Volunteer Shifts

Entry Gate Staff: Help collect donations at the gate with ALRP staff and friends. Welcome fairgoers with a smile and enthusiasm. You should be able to stand for long periods of time.

Event Safety: Perform foot patrols throughout the Fair to answer questions and report safety hazards. Monitor barricades and street closures, and assist with access for authorized vehicles. Safety Volunteer hours are counted as time-and-a-half towards the donation earned by ALRP.

Exhibitor Team: Support exhibitor staff with street marking and exhibitor assistance.

Set-Up Crew: Load/unload trucks, arrange gate collection areas, and assemble signage. Volunteers should be able to lift and move heavy objects.

**ALRP will provide refreshments during your volunteer shift/s. **

If you are interested in helping out or have questions, please contact ALRP Volunteer Coordinator Jennifer Schuster at or (415) 701-1200 ext. 303.
