When his dentist kept rescheduling appointments, ALRP client Tim Green’s oral health began to deteriorate. And then his dental services were terminated altogether. ALRP Staff Attorney Stephen Spano (right) stepped in to make sure Tim received the dental care he needed through ALRP’s HIV Consumer Advocacy Program.

Thanks to the work of ALRP volunteer attorneys, an HIV+ client from Brazil was granted asylum.

A gay man living with HIV in Brazil, our client was scared for his life. With the changing political climate and persecution against LGBTQ+ people worsening in his home country, his health and safety were at serious risk. So, in 2018, he left Brazil to come to San Francisco.

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers for supporting ALRP at the 2019 Up Your Alley Street fair! ALRP had 40+ volunteers roaming the streets around Dore Alley to help make this event a success.
