ALRP Panel Attorney Eli Gould Passes Away

It is with a heavy heart that ALRP shares the unexpected passing of former Panel attorney Eli W. Gould on August 2, 2014.  He was 57 years old.

Eli was a long-time volunteer with ALRP who, among many other things, generously assisted in the drafting of ALRP’s Personnel Policies.  He often performed pro bono legal services for the LGBT community in San Francisco and was passionate about serving the under-privileged.

Eli was born in Kewanee, IL on September 22, 1956 to Charlotte and Harry L. Gould.  He earned his J.D. from Cornell University in 1986 before moving to San Francisco where he began his career as an employment lawyer.  Eli practiced exclusively in all aspects of employment and labor law, most recently as in-house counsel for Crystal Geyser and Swirl.

A celebration of Eli’s life will be held on September 20, 2014 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Fuschia Dell Garden at Golden Gate Park (East) in San Francisco.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to ALRP’s sister agency, the AIDS Emergency Fund at www.aef-sf.org or (415) 558-6999 in Eli’s name.
