ALRP Featured in SF Examiner

ALRP is honored to be featured in an article by San Francisco Examiner reporter Dan Schreiber. The article is part of a series that focuses on “the state of nonprofit organizations and how they navigate a city that is experiencing a historic economic boom, housing crisis and widening income gap.”

The piece centers on the story of an ALRP client who nearly lost his housing after his landlord alleged the client wasn’t paying rent.  Kim Shindel, one of ALRP’s four attorneys who focus solely on housing issues, litigated the case before a judge.  Schreiber’s article shares the judge’s final rulings, as well as insight from Kim and Executive Director Bill Hirsh, on San Francisco’s housing crisis – particularly in relation to people living with HIV/AIDS.

ALRP is thrilled that the hard work of our attorneys, and of all of San Francisco’s non-profits, is being publicly recognized.  Positive exposure such as this helps to garner the support of the community and assure our clients that their important stories are being heard.
