ALRP Board Member Named in “Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40”

Jeff Jacobi, a senior associate in Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman’s Litigation practice in San Francisco. Jeff has been just recognized by The National LGBT Bar Association as one of the “Best LGBT and Child Custody Lawyers Under 40 – Class of 2013.”

The National LGBT Bar Association, which has 1,300 members, was founded 25 years ago, and is an affiliate of the American Bar Association. It established this annual award to recognize outstanding lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender legal professionals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their field and have demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBT equality. Individuals are recommended for the award by members of the legal community.

“Jeff carries a heavy caseload yet always finds time to help around the firm and to provide free legal representation to underserved communities,” said Bruce A. Ericson, co-leader of Pillsbury’s Securities Litigation Team and the managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco office. “He is a talented and well-liked member of Pillsbury’s litigation team, and he well deserves this great honor.”

Jeff serves as Secretary for the ALRP Board of Directors. He has played a significant leadership role in ALRP’s governance and fundraising.

Jeff and the other winners will be recognized at an awards luncheon in San Francisco on Saturday, August 24, 2013 in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary Lavender Law Conference & Career Fair.
