ALRP "Wills", "Power of Attorney" AND "Advanced Health Care Directives" BROCHURES NOW AVAILABLE

ALRP announces the availability of three new brochures, available in both English and Spanish:

WILLS - A Guide For People Living With HIV/AIDS

POWER OF ATTORNEY - A Guide For People Living With HIV/AIDS

ADVANCED HEALTH CARE DIRECTIVES - A Guide For People Living With HIV/AIDS

Wills and Durable Powers of Attorney documents help people with HIV ensure that their final wishes are respected regarding their property, and assist them in designating an individual to make financial decisions for them if they become incapacitated because of illness or injury.

Advanced Health Care Directives help give clients peace of mind and prevent last-minute bedside arguments (and legal battles) over which person has the right to determine a patient's final stages of care.

These brochures will give clients the information they need in order to make a decision about whether they should draft these documents—too often, the other alternative is that the courts end up handling their personal affairs. The brochures will also give clients the satisfaction of knowing they have helped to avert disputes among family members and friends.

Printed Wills, Power of Attorney, and Advanced Health Care Directives brochures are available at the ALRP office (1663 Mission Street, Suite 500, San Francisco, CA 94103). Electronic .PDF files of these brochures are available by clicking the links below:
